Ocean Cruise Medical, Accessibility & Cabin Policies 2026

Cruise Medical Fitness & Clearance Policy

Guests must be medically fit to travel. The cruise line may require a medical clearance form for certain conditions. All guests are responsible for their own health.

Pregnancy Policy

Most lines require a doctor’s note after 24 weeks. Many do not allow travel after 24–28 weeks of pregnancy. Check with us for your specific sailing.

Wheelchair & Mobility Scooter Policy

Allowed with advance notice. Limited number of accessible cabins and scooters per ship. Battery-powered scooters are permitted in most cases.

Oxygen, CPAP, Dialysis & Medication Policies

Oxygen concentrators are allowed with prior approval. CPAP machines are permitted. Guests on dialysis must arrange treatment in advance through the cruise line. Bring all prescription medications in original containers with enough for the entire trip plus extra.

Ocean Cruise Accessibility Policy

All major ocean cruise lines provide accessible staterooms, ramps, elevators, and assistance for guests with disabilities. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation.

Cruise Cabin Policies

Cabins are assigned at the time of booking. Upgrades and downgrades are subject to availability. Accessible, connecting, and family cabins must be requested early. Single occupancy usually costs 150–200% of the per-person rate.
